BullGuard Internet Security 9.0 is a security suite provided by BullGuard. It includes almost all the tools and features of a standard security suite. Before going to the technical details, let me tell you my experience about downloading and installing BullGuard Internet Security 9.0. I went to the Bullguard site for downloading the suite and the 60 day trial was easily available on the front page. To my surprise, the download size was only 98 KB but when I double clicked the downloaded file, it started downloading the actual BullGuard Internet Security suite from the internet. It was about 109MB.
Installing BullGuard Internet Security was seamless but it hung while installing the firewall component. I had to restart my PC in order to get rid of the installation process because there was no cancel button in order to cancel the installation in the middle. Second time the installation was smooth and took about 10 minutes to install.
BullGuard Internet Security suite contains almost all the tools that are needed in an internet security suite like anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-spam, firewall etc. The anti-spam tool supports a large number of email clients including Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express, Mozilla Thunderbird, Microsoft Mail etc. One thing lacking in BullGuard Internet Security is the parental controls. Parental controls are a great help if one PC is shared with more than one people.
The best thing that attracted me in this security suite is the ability to remotely backup your data online on BullGuard servers. BullGuard gives a modest 5 GB online space for backing up your important files. 24/7 online live support is available and email response time is about one hour which makes the support process extremely good. I was unable to find any phone support which is a negative point for the people residing in the US.
System Resource usage of BullGuard Internet Security was a little higher than normal taking more memory while scanning the system. It took about one hour for scanning my 350GB hard drive. Although the memory usage during the scanning process was quite high, I didn’t feel any system performance degradation during the scan process.

1. Great article along with great product giveaway. BullGuard Internet Security seems very good security product. I have also read somewhere that it uses BitDefender engine, which itself is one of the greatest product. Remote backup and high detection rates seem two best features of this product. I do not care about parental controls (missing feature).

I like bullguard because the interface is simple and organized well. It also let you back up files onto their servers online. Another thing I like is the gaming mode since I do play games and bullguard has a feature where it automatically detects games. 🙂

I use Bullguard 9.0 it has made surfing the web a security dream. It has a strong firewall, which is easy to set up and edit. Its easy to set up and use. Best to load it from disk as long internet download.
It has real time protection to cover USB ports from devices.
Im not worried it doesnt have family protection as most browsers have it already.
I love the one hour email support service, easy to understand advice 24/7. Good knowing your not alone.
Stoked to give Bullguard a 9/10 rating.
