DirectX 11 For Windows XP and Vista – A Trojan Virus!!

MegaLeecher has reported that the latest DirectX 11 which will be shipped and installed on Windows 7, Microsoft’s upcoming Windows, has been available for download for Windows XP and Windows Vista users. Likewise DirectX 10 was also available although it was not official but patched to be used on Windows XP and Windows Vista. It was tested and working for many users.
But this is not the case with DirectX 11. Some virus writers and crackers have disguised the setup file of DirectX 11. Actually the exe file contains three viruses which are activated when the exe file of DirectX 11 is run.
Some images that I have copied from MegaLeecher:

If you happen to download DirectX 11 for Windows XP and Vista, and you have ran the setup, don’t worry, here’s a tool from Symantec which you can run to clean those viruses. The tool along with how to use it can be accessed from the following URL.

    “Undetectable”? Pfft.
Dude, if you’re stupid enough to download a 598kb version of directx, and then not scan it, you deserve to have the virus. End of story.

I think Windows 7 comes with DirectX 11 by default. Please check again for your DirectX version with dxdiag command.

You might have not intended to do so, but I think you have managed to express the state of mind that lots of individuals are in. The sense of wanting to assist, but not knowing how or wherever, is something a lot of us are going via.
