3 Ways To Test Your LCD Monitor For Defective Pixels

If we want to test if our LCD monitor or laptop’s LCD is working correctly or not, we have to see if any pixel on the LCD has become dead or stuck. There are several softwares which test the life of the LCD monitor. I am listing three free softwares which do the same task.

InjuredPixels

InjuredPixels is a small portable utility which can also be run from the internet directly to check the health of the LCD monitors.

InjuredPixels fills the entire screen with a primary or custom color, allowing you to inspect the screen for pixels that do not match the selected color. The program is easy to use: click or use the arrow keys to cycle through colors or right-click to get the menu with the main commands.

Pixel Doctor

Pixel Doctor is another utility similar to InjuredPixels but it is more advantageous in the sense that it also tries to recover the defective pixels of the LCD monitor. First you have to test the screen. If you see any dead or defective pixels, start the pixel therapy and it will try to heal the defective pixels.

DefectPX

DefectPX fills the entire screen with one of the colors that make up a pixel, allowing you to inspect the screen for pixels that do not match the selected color. DefectPX is easy to use and it has a very intuitive interface.
DefectPX can be run directly without having to install it on your computer: just download and run. An installer program is also available.
