Microsoft Office Webs Apps OR Web Office 2010

Microsoft has released its next version of Office 2010, and Web Apps to the public.

Office Web Apps was released to the public via Windows Live Office on June 7, 2010 and Microsoft Office 2010 was released to public on 15 June 2010.

As the Web Apps site states

Whether you’re in the office, at home, or on the road, Microsoft Office Web Apps help you get more things done virtually anywhere and anytime. These convenient online companions to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote offer you an easy way to access, view, and edit documents directly from your Web browser.

Office Live Workspace users will also be migrated to Windows Live Office within the next months.

The initial release of web apps is available to Windows Live customers in the USA, Canada, Great Britain and Ireland with support for English, Spanish (USA) and French (Canada).

More languages and locales will be added over the coming months.

The release includes Word, PowerPoint, Excel and OneNote. With these web apps you can create,edit,manage,share your files online. No need to  buy or install office 2010. Since it is available online for free.

The only limitation is that you can only create,edit manage Office XLM format files. Like docx for Word,pptx for Powerpoint and xlsx for Excel
