Find The Boot Time Of Windows With BootRacer

Previously I have written about 3 tools to speed up and optimize Windows startup. Those tools were the best in my opinion for optimizing the startup speed of Windows. Today I’m writing about a utility which will calculate the boot time of Windows for you. This will give you a clear picture of how much time your Windows system take to boot up and if it takes a lot of time then you can use any of the 3 tools to speed up and optimize your Windows startup.

BootRacer is a small utility which can be used to check the boot time of Windows and also check your boot rating. The rating is excellent for boot times less than 1 minute.

Once you allow BootRacer to work, it will give you the time to logon and total time to desktop. This will give you a fair idea of where the delay is happening. The good thing about BootRacer is that it doesn’t take a lot of system resources. It’s log is created in Windows Event Log which can be viewed by going to Right click on Computer –> Manage –> Event Logs.

BootRacer system requirements are as follows:

  • Windows XP/Vista/7/2003/2008 [32+64 bit]
  • 3 MB of disk space
